🧖‍♀️ Piaule Landscape Hotel in Catskill, NY—Embrace Nature With Good Design

Founders Nolan McHugh and Trevor Briggs opened eco-hotel Piaule in Summer 2021, a 50-acre property in Catskill, New York. Rooted in conscious design and sustainable practices, the grounds feature 24-prefabricated cabins, a lodge and restaurants serving seasonal fare, and a spa offering massages, sound baths, and a mineral pool, amongst other wellness experiences.

Designed in collaboration with Garrison Architects, the 24 Cabins are outfitted with generous floor-to-ceiling windows, forest views, handcrafted furniture, locally-made Piaule bath products, and heated stone floors.

🚜 Escape to Inness, a Quiet Farmland Cabin Retreat in Upstate New York

Opened in July 2021, Inness is a sprawling 225-acre country retreat in Accord, New York. The grounds are home to tennis courts, pools, an organic farm, a nine-hole golf course, a store, and 12-room farmhouse, and 28 individual cabins for accommodations. 

With concepts executed by restaurateur Taavo Somer in collaboration with design studio Post Company, composed, Colonial New England-inspired design runs throughout all 225 acres. Cabins and Farmhouse rooms are outfitted with custom wooden furniture, soft linens, and decorated thoughtfully with vintage objects and art-and the majority overlook the surrounding mountain views.

🌳 Have Your Own A-Frame for a Night at New York's Eastwind Catskills Retreat

Book your very own mini A-frame at Eastwind Hotel and Bar, a year-round boutique eco-hotel 2-3 hours north of NYC in the Catskills, NY. Founded in 2018, the retreat features  26 guest Scandinavian-inspired accommodations in the form of the main bunk house, detached secondary house, and Lushna A-Frame Eco Cabins and cottage suite, models. A bar, wood barrel sauna, and public and suite-specific fire pits round–out the property. 

The 400-square-foot Lushna Suite cottages feature a queen-sized bed, lounge space, writer's nook, fridge, en-suite bathroom, and outdoor shower, hammock, and private deck, while a smattering of 220-square-foot A-Frames offers comfortable beds, generous windows, and access to the outhouses and sauna nearby.
